McCleskey Welcomes New Associate John W. Shanklin, II

The McCleskey Law Firm is pleased to announce that John W. Shanklin, II has joined the Firm as an Associate. John, a native of East Texas, began clerking for the firm during his second year of law school and has been with us ever since.  After graduating from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Agribusiness, John worked in Houston’s energy corridor for a number of years before taking up a management role in a small e-commerce company—where he helped transform a garage project into a million-dollar enterprise. His diverse experience ranges from environmental consulting on offshore drilling platforms to negotiating with manufacturers in the Pacific Rim. He recently received his J.D. with High Honors from Texas Tech University School of Law and his MBA with Honors from The Texas Tech Rawls College of Business. John’s practice will focus on real estate, oil & gas, and other transactional areas. He will also be working on behalf of creditors to solve bankruptcy issues.
